Alpha 1.7 Release.
Only a badass with style can cause badass actions, are you badass?

ANIMATED BADASSERY.
Overhaul of the first-person arm model and rig.
I really REALLY hated the first-person view model I used up until this version, it was utterly broken, horribly rigged and modelled and looked awful in game. Whenever you look back on the old first-person view model in the old alpha, please know that I wanted to strangle the guy who created it... im that guy.
So here they are, your new refurbished flesh appendages!
Not only that, I overhauled all the animations in the game with the new first-person view model! Though you will have to see them for yourself in-game ;)
The new first-person view model and the animations are the vision I'm heading for when it comes to the artstyle and animation style of the game, although obviously not finished, but the spirit is already there and it's looking exactly how I imagined it! I will tweak the animations as development goes on, but the arms are probably gonna stay until full release!
New Steampump design.
As I'm working on giving the game a fixed art style, I'm overhauling all of the weapon models, starting off with the Steampump. It now looks actually bulky and like it can pack a punch. The model will maybe stay until full release, im gonna tweak it a bit and work around to see how it will fit best.
Overhauled melee combat.
I reworked the entire melee system from the ground up to be more volatile and tactical. I want the combat to feel as responsive as possible; I want each hit to feel like you are inflicting genuine pain on something while you look stylish and elegant.
- There are now light and heavy attacks. You do light attacks by pressing your left mouse button, dealing a small amount of damage. You can do heavy attacks by holding the left mouse button, dealing more damage.
- You can do combo attacks by pressing the left mouse button three consecutive times. It unlocks new ways of combining different attack patterns to deal damage most quickly or safely. The choice is yours.
- You can dodge now, which is not limited to melee only, by pressing the space bar; you do a quick step backwards.
The heavy attacks have broken animations...- pretend they aren't there until I fix them, please, im on my knees.
Bug fixes.
-Fixed the NOTORIOUS SPRINT/STAMINA BUG. You can now press run without being in the weird laggy walk-run state. Its fixed, its finally fixed.
Yeah, that's about it lol, I didn't fix that much in this version because I fixed all the crucial bugs in the emergency fix for 1.6. For 1.8 im finally adding the new weapon... THE BOLT SLINGER! and the new enemy type for the cave town mission.
There will be a huge change coming soon, but I won't talk about it for now... trust me it's gonna be BADASS.
